# How do I set up my mobile app to broadcast from my mobile phone? You can broadcast your Prime Radio station directly from your Android phone using the **Prime Radio Broadcaster** mobile app. ## Step 1: Install the Prime Radio Broadcaster App Download and install the **Prime Radio Broadcaster** app on your Android phone. Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection. Wi-Fi or a strong 4G/5G connection is recommended. ## Step 2: Log in to Your Prime Radio Account Open the Prime Radio Broadcaster app and sign in using the same account that you use for your Prime Radio station. Your account must already have an active station. ## Step 3: Select Your Station After logging in, select the radio station you want to broadcast to. If your account only manages one station, the app may automatically select your station. Your streaming information should be linked to your Prime Radio account, so you should not normally need to manually enter complicated server settings. ## Step 4: Allow Microphone Permission The first time you use the broadcaster, Android may ask for permission to use your microphone. Tap: **Allow** The microphone permission is required if you want to talk live on air. You may also be asked for permission to access audio files if you want to play music stored on your phone. ## Step 5: Check Your Audio Before going live: * Check that your microphone is working. * Make sure your phone volume is correctly set. * Connect headphones if possible to prevent audio feedback. * If you are using an external microphone or mixer, connect and test it before starting your broadcast. ## Step 6: Start Broadcasting On the broadcaster screen, tap: **Start Broadcast / Go Live** The app will connect your phone to your Prime Radio streaming server. Wait until the app confirms that you are connected. Once connected, your station is live and listeners can hear your broadcast through your Prime Radio player. ## Step 7: Talk Live You can now use your phone microphone to speak directly to your listeners. For better sound quality, we recommend using: * Earphones with a microphone * USB microphone * Compatible external audio interface * External mixer connected to your phone Avoid using the phone speaker while broadcasting because it may cause echo or feedback. ## Step 8: Play Music If the Prime Radio Broadcaster app supports music playback on your account, you can select audio files from your phone and play them while broadcasting. Make sure you have permission or the appropriate licence to broadcast any copyrighted music you use. ## Step 9: Check Your Station While broadcasting, open your station page on another phone or computer. Press play and confirm that your station is live. There may be a short delay between what you say and what listeners hear. This is normal with online radio streaming. ## Step 10: End Your Broadcast When you finish your show, return to the broadcaster app and tap: **Stop Broadcast / End Broadcast** Wait for the app to confirm that the live connection has ended. If AutoDJ is enabled on your station, it can continue playing after your live broadcast ends, depending on your station configuration. # Recommended Setup For a basic mobile broadcast: **Phone → Prime Radio Broadcaster App → Prime Radio Streaming Server → Listeners** For better-quality broadcasting: **Microphone / Mixer → Phone → Prime Radio Broadcaster App → Prime Radio Streaming Server → Listeners** # If the App Does Not Connect Check the following: 1. Make sure your internet connection is working. 2. Confirm that you are logged into the correct Prime Radio account. 3. Confirm that your station is active. 4. Make sure no other broadcaster is already connected to the same live stream. 5. Allow microphone permissions in your phone settings. 6. Close and reopen the broadcaster app. 7. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the problem continues, open a support ticket and include: * Your station name * Your account email * The error message shown in the app * A screenshot of the error if possible Do **not** post your streaming password or account password publicly in the community. ## Need More Help?
